Ecoliving to Feature at 2015 Home Energy Fair
Established in 2004 and thousands of renewable energy installations later, Ecoliving are among a number of carefully selected organisations invited to exhibit at the Energy Agency’s Home Energy Fair on the 7th of February, at the University of West of Scotland. The Energy Agency boasts the Home Energy Fair to be the only FREE event in SW Scotland focussing on saving energy, renewable energy and sustainable transport.
Lasting from 10am until 3.30pm, the Home Energy Fair is an opportunity to speak to the experts from Ecoliving to help you assess which renewable heating or integrated renewable energy system is most appropriate for your existing home or new-build project and there are lots of informative and educational slots planned, as well as free insight and advice.
The day will consist of presentations from leading professionals to provide insight into renewable technologies and the financial incentives on offer, including Ecoliving’s very own Mark Henderson who will explain the application of Heat Pump technology and biomass boilers in the home. There will also be free home energy services such as ‘Ask an Advisor’ giving you the opportunity to seek professional advice about your home energy troubles – 15 minute appointments can be booked on arrival.
The Day also intends to inject fun into the Fair by offering a breadth of interactive activities throughout the day to ensure it is enjoyable as well as insightful. If you have ever fancied driving an electric vehicle, now’s your chance with test drives taking place all day. Cyclists can have a free health check done on their bike, with minor servicing free of charge from Dr Bike. There will be a simulator to show you how fuel efficient your driving is as well as a ‘Smoothie Bike’ for you to test your stamina and ‘pedal your own smoothie’.
The Home Energy Fair is in its 8th year, pertinent to its success and aims to save you, your business and your community, money and energy through a fun and interactive, informative day out.
So come and join us! 7th Feb, UoWS, 10.30-15.30, everyone’s welcome!
