Home Energy Efficiency Program for Scotland Cashback Scheme
Similar to the Loan Scheme, the HEEPS Cashback Scheme is a segment of the £103 million investment from the Scottish Government to tackle fuel poverty 'head on'.
This means owner-occupants, private and social tenants or registered private sector landlords within council tax band A, B or C are entitled to claim cash-back on Home Energy Efficiency improvements recommended in their Green Deal Advice Report (GDAR). Only on completion of measures which are clearly recommended in the Green Deal report will be eligible for the HEEPS cash-back scheme.
The Categories are:
- Up to £500 for a new boiler
- As much as £400 for increased insulation
- And up to £300 towards draft proofing or secondary glazing
For installations of solid wall insulation, 75% of the capital cost can be claimed to a maximum contribution of £4,500 towards the works.
People in remote rural areas may receive additional premiums and anyone who installs one eligible measure or more is entitled to £100 towards their Green Deal Advice Report.
