Nibe Ground Source Heat Pump for New Build House in Chesham Area
"One of the best things about our new house is the heat pump"
Our customer contacted Ecoliving looking for an efficient heating and ventilation system and an alternative to an oil boiler for their new build home in the Chesham area of Buckinghamshire. They recognised that Ecoliving offers an integrated solution that takes into account the different needs of the property.
The result of the design process was that Ecoliving recommended a Nibe ground source heat pump supplying heat to under floor heating and a heat recovery ventilation system to ensure a healthy indoor climate.
The ground source heat pump installed is a NIBE F1245 8kw unit with an integral hot water cylinder to deliver all the heating for the property and the domestic hot water. Energy is collected from the ground via 2 boreholes each drilled to a depth of 80 metres.
Here's what our customer has to say.
"Thanks for calling to check out the system. The 6 month running cost at £250 is outstandingly good and we are delighted with the whole system and the highly skilled people used to install it. Your supervision and experience is very much appreciated"
To maintain the thermal efficiency of the house whilst still providing ventilation, a heat recovery system is installed. It collects the warm, damp air from the 'wet' rooms like bathrooms, WC, utility and kitchen and uses this warm air to pre-warm the cooler fresh air coming in from outside, via a heat exchanger.
