Despite mains gas being piped onshore to the St. Fergus gas terminal, Aberdeenshire has one of the largest ‘off gas grid’ housing stocks in Scotland. As a result many people are subjected to the ever increasing price of oil & LPG and more and more are looking for ways to reduce their monthly heating bills.
Householder RHI Payments up to £30,000
So, in addition to the current Grants and Loan Schemes, the launch of the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Scotland is great news for Aberdeenshire and has made the decision to replace your existing oil, LPG or electric heating system with a renewable heating technology, not only viable but also financially attractive. Not only can you reduce your monthly fuel bills, you can also receive quarterly payments over 7 years which could total as much as £30,000*.
We now have both the non-domestic and domestic RHI open for applications and it can be applied for by householders, farmers, charities, community groups, business both large and small and the public sector. Eligible renewable heat technologies include biomass boilers, ground and air source heat pumps and solar thermal panels.
Grampian lends itself to Renewable Heat
Aberdeenshire boasts some impressive natural resources when it comes to renewable heat. Much of the geology of the Grampian area includes high thermally efficient granite rock which is ideal for boreholes delivering heat energy to ground source heat pumps. Add to this the locally supplied wood available for Biomass boilers and amongst the highest sunshine hours in Scotland for solar energy and we really do have a lot of natural resources to tap into across Aberdeenshire.
Savings on Heating Bills & RHI Payments for 7 Years!
The Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is available to both ‘on’ & ‘off’ Gas grid customers. As a result home owners across the Grampian region from Aberdeen to Inverness, can take full advantage of not only the fuel saving but also the RHI payment available for each renewable heat technology.
Every quotation issued by Ecoliving includes an Energy Performance Estimate. This is tailored to your property and includes an estimate of the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payments you could receive, over a 7 year period.
